Artist's Comments

This is my second time using a tripod with a slow shutter speed of water. I can't wait to take more pictures here in spring.

Very nice picture. I really like it. I think you've captured the rushing of the water very well.

For a bit more advanced critique, I think I would've liked to have seen a little more at the top of the image. It feels a little cramped in that direction.

Well done. Looks like a painting with high contrast colors.

Excellent image... Good composition, sharpness and DOF. What I see about this image that is very good is your exposure. You nailed it. The way to judge exposure in an image like this one is to look at the brightest part of the blurred water. It has to be white with details in the brightest areas. Not gray. Not blown out so that details aren't visible. You achieved that very nicely. Excellent work...

There is greenery there in Winter? :O

Great pic :)

Thank you. Yes, I agree I felt that way too while looking at it. There was a really overexposed overcast sky if I went too high so I was trying to avoid that while getting the most I could in the picture on the widest angle. Next time I will try to find a better angle where I can include more of the surroundings while avoiding the sky. :)
